The Cafe for Every Mood – Pali Village Cafe, Bandra (W), Mumbai
Quirky, rustic, unfinished yet romantic!
It took a while to locate the tucked-in cafe on the busy Ambedkar Road. The lack of any big sign board made me confirm if I am at the right place. But once inside you are in a different world.
Quirky Decor
We were invited by Reveilo Wines to taste a few of their offerings and the venue couldn’t be better than Pali Village Cafe for a couple of reasons. First, the food served here perfectly pairs with wine and second, their sheer love for wines for they serve only wines and no other alcohol and have an exquisite collection of local and international wines.
Wine collection
We started with Cheese Platter which comes with a few type of cheese, crackers and fruits.
Wine collection
Caramelized Apple Tortellini with cream and goat cheese was a show stopper.
Wine collection
Asparagus & Mushroom Stuffed Aubergine Roll, a quirky item and will be appreciated by those who like aubergine.
Wine collection
In pizzas, we tried Garlic, Mushroom & Smoked Scaramoza, a thin crust square pizza.
Wine collection
The quality and presentation are uncompromising. Being authentic Italian, the food may taste very bland and may not be appreciated by to a typical Indian palate. The portion too is not much appreciable considering the prices.
The staff is cheerful and friendly to an extent that it sets a benchmark for similar places.
The dimly lit, quirky yet romantic ambiance is the USP of the place with good service and good food complementing it perfectly. Be it casual gathering with friends, a romantic date-night or a solo time, this cafe has a place for them all!
