An absence of maid combined with unwillingness to prepare lunch on a lazy week-end is Hola Chef’s gain.
The nearby restaurant whose number is in your quick dial has the same old menu. Here Hola Chef promises to score. Daily new menu. Well, almost!
Installed the app, selected a few items and made payment. An order was placed at around 10 AM for the lunch delivery slot 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM. The clock started ticking and ting-ting. Not the doorbell, SMS, from Hola Chef, informing about the delayed delivery, by 20 mins!
Another ting-ting, at 1:40 PM. It was doorbell, luckily, this time, by Hola Chef delivery boy.
Now the order; in Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Garlic Bread, the macaroni tasted well and was properly baked. Garlic bread failed to impress. Chewy, mostly as a side effect of the delivery.

Refried Beans and Jalapeno Quesadillas came with salsa and Jalapeno Sour Cream Dip. Quesadillas were quite spicy, good if you are ok with Indianised variant of the Mexican dish.

Spicy Minty Kokum Sharbat and Lychee Thai Chilli Cooler were average. Quantity was less but can’t expect more in Rs. 50 a bottle.

On an average, food is good, at Rs. 445/- for 2, the prices are justifiable. But if you want the fastest delivery, probably that quick dial number is your best bet.
